I adopt eco-uses

Orange is becoming greener and greener
Electronic invoicing
Simplify your life by opting for electronic invoicing. You can consult your electronic bills whenever you want, whilst at the same time doing your bit to protect the environment.
Letters, bills, statements of account: your drawers are full of them. It's time to switch to electronic invoicing! This is a lot more practical, and moreover, by following the eco-tips set out below, you can help to limit your impact on the environment :
  • Don't print out electronic bills unless you really need to
  • If you absolutely must print them, use recycled and/or FSC-certified paper, printing on both sides
  • Keep your PC and your printer for as long as you can, and think about giving them a new lease of life or recycling them when you finally get rid of them
It's easy
As soon as a new bill is available, you're alerted by e-mail or text message, and can consult it in your customer area. By doing this, you're helping the planet and saving money (paper bills are charged for at 2€ each).
A bag,
yes – but
a reusable one
We've had enough of plastic bags. The trend now is to use a tote bag, and that's good: when you're leaving an Orange shop with your new purchase, we'll give you a canvas bag made by the fondation Kräizbierg which you can re-use for your everyday shopping.
What role does paper have to play in all this?
To preserve the environment in which we live, we have decided to use FSC certified paper to print our Hello magazine. FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) is an eco-label certifying that a product made of wood comes out of forests that are sustainably managed.
Follow our example – sort your waste.
Orange is SuperDrecksKëscht®-compliant.
The SuperDrecksKëscht® is a label established by the Luxembourgish governement to certify responsible waste management and is based on the EU strategy which places prevention in first place, reuse coming on second place, recycling third, any other kind of valorisation (for instance energetic) on fourth place and only as a last mean the elimination of waste.
On the road to eco-mobility
Orange is motivated to support efforts promoting sustainability, particularly in transportation, and has purchased an electric vehicle for everyday rides in urban environment. This investment is also considered a test case to check if other vehicles of Orange could be replaced by electrical ones.
Orange Luxembourg is highly conscious of the issues linked to climate change. So we are taking steps, each and every day, to increase environmental protection. These include the erection, in the municipality of Tandel, of a telecommunications pylon producing electricity from a wind-powered generator and solar panels.
